i dig Toledo, OH. The city in Spain must have been named after it.

On a serious note, no conversation on this topic is complete without my hometown.

Mine too. It's a city that has to be experienced first-hand, as photos can't do it justice.

I visited Croatia last year and it surprised me, lovely scenery including Mljet and the outskirts.

You seriously think that looks better then this? Seriously? Like, you're not even joking a little?

    This is very disturbing.

Your picture is a beautiful natural landscape that is spoiled by a few generic-looking buildings. Not a beautiful city.

Beautiful indeed, but not really what I would call a city. Also, not to take away from the wonderful natural setting, but it's rather typical of the Alps.

I mean their quaint picturesque church is on a lake island... AN ISLAND how is a big crowded man made city supposed to compete with that...

For some reason my first picture disapeared. Duck there is a certain nastalgia that really boosts the beauty of Landsberg for me. I wish I could find better pics of it online.

Just about every Dorf in the Bavarian, Swiss and Austrian Alps looks like the pic you gave us.

Yeah, went to Dubrovnik last year myself. Amazing place.

For me though, my favorite is Valparaiso (Chile) because of its rustic beauty.

It can't. That's my whole point. Don't say something is pretty when it's not just because it has a different setting. That'd be like saying a ugly girl is actually pretty because her parents are hideous :p

Dubrovnik always seemed too crowded and expensive for what your getting, especially since, from Czech Republic, Piran (Slovenia) was closer and cheaper (Though I haven't been na Slovinsko since they started using Euros).

Also, I just like Slovenia, It probably has, for its size, one of the most diverse landscapes and architecture styles in the world.

I'm sure it doesn't. I actually like the favelas if the houses are painted.

Well, its a UNESCO world heritage site. So, no not a favela but definitely rustic which adds to its character.

Good point. Don't go to Dubrovnik in July or August. Not only is it crowded but its BOILING hot (the wall seems to trap all the heat) and very few places are air conditioned in the old town.

But any other time of year is amazing.

Piran looks great. Any low budget airlines flying there from major hubs in Western Europe that you know of?

Something about that church. It just looks....wrong. Oversized, like Dinsdale the giant hedgehog peering over the buildings.
