So ... finally here's a place to talk about the up and coming ballers from our country. Future stars? The next big thing? Replacements for our aging ballers? Let's here you out.

Guerrero, Montero, Rojas, Mendez, etc ....

that Espinoza kid looks good in Liga. I would say Jairo Campos but he was already in Europe.

Yeah, your talking about La Sombra Espinoza's brother...really solid defender and I've seen he's matured in the last couple of months. I saw him play a couple games at the end of last season (i think) or at the very beginning of this season and he wasn't too secure of what he was doing. But he's shown growth these last couple of months, hopefully he can be a candidate for Hurtado and Espinoza's replacement.

My thoughts for future promising players:

    Keepers: Dominguez, Manuel Mendoza

Defenders: Jairo Campos, Alejandro Espinoza, Diego Calderon, Dieson Mendez, Wilson Folleco, Pineida (Sub-17 NT from this year)....Giovanni Nazareno (From what I saw last year, he did a really great job but ruined everything by rushing himself & going to Barcelona...I'm sure if he would have stayed at D.Quito this year he would have had bigger possibilities to be in our NT)

Midfield: Fernando Guerrero, Jefferson Montero, Fidel Martinez, Zamora, Jefferson Pinto, Jonathan De La Cruz (Sub-17 from this year)

Forwards: Joao Rojas....and no one else has impressed me

I've been saying this forever, and he's about 19 or 20 considering he played for the U-20.

I don't know much or anything about most of these players but it is good to see a crop of potentials as far as "defenders" go...

After watching some of the Barcelona - Emelec game Folleco had a nice cross for that second goal, but one of yous said the wbs have a tough time playing for Barcelona, but he could start getting called up in place of Reasco for a friendly. I need to see him play more though. I have heard he is more of an attack minded player.

I enjoy the way Joao Rojas plays. He is fast and strong. He moves around from the left and from the right. He has a good shot. He centers the ball effectively. I think he has a good future in Emelec but unfortunately he would not last that long because he might end up going to play in another country. He is still young and has a lot of room for growth. So, let see what the future brings him.

Now that I saw Caicedo from Emelec, I would put him on the list of "Promesas".

Is Caicedo from Emelec related to Felipe Caicedo?

he tends to change positions a lot...he kind of plays the same role Joao Rojas plays but on the left. I find it a bit hard to explain who he plays like, I have to see more games to compare him to someone...he's really young though (17 yrs old) and even had a couple games in last year. This year hes played 4 games (started 2) and scored one goal. I would like to see more from him before I label him as a "promesa".

Caicedo from Emelec is really speedy and agile. He tends to kick the ball coming from the right side of the field. He is an interesting player.

u-15 NT player??? Haven't seen any of their games but i've heard they're killing it. I'm always checking up on them and it seems we have a powerful team coming up...but it will take A WHILE for us to see any of those players...maybe the Qualifier after the one coming up. Although some may also begin showing their talent at earlier ages (18 or 19)
