Spain are 3-0 up against Azerbaijan, apparently it's a David Villa hattrick. May Allah help us!

OK so the first half analysis:

I think it was quite a mundane affair really, Nashat was off his game, Karrar was complaining as ever and Younis was shocking. The only positive is those guys give us height and the ball is able to stick more upfront, Younis although not doing much bothered the defence with his height, Nashat too.

    Second half:

Alaa was the star in my eyes, played really well, Salih was very good also, Hawar was hit and miss. The thing to note is we took 3 big players off and brought in 3 smaller guys.

Everytime we got the ball we were pressing, fast which is useful against a team like Poland but leaves us exposed at the back, there were countless times when Poland countered and we were having to run players back and looked unorganised. Emad was very good upfront, he hassled the defenders and nearly scored once or twice.

I think against South Africa we'll need a mix of the two styles we saw today, because if we attack as openly as in the second half we'll get hit hard on the break

I agree with you amrizzle and I think Bora put his magic on the team... if we played like this against South Korea and Saudi Arabia I think we would pull a better result.

True but that's them unbeaten since the European finals I think.

In their world cup qualifying group they have played 6 and won 6, which includes Turkey home and away

I'm not doubting the firing power of Spain actually. But we shouldn't be too afraid now.

South Africa and then NZ are the key for us..anything against Spain is a super bonus.
