This season is coming to an end. Several club are presenting their new kits, but A.S.Roma hasn't show anything yet. How will the new Kappa-shirts look like? I am very curious. Last year there were some creations of supporters online on Big Soccer. It would be very fun to see it this year too. I prefer for the new home shirts the big Kappa-logos in orange on the shoulders like this years away kit with also Kappa written in orange on the left chest from left under to right above like this years shirt of Torino. this exciting me, so if you have some ideas share them!
Re: A.S.Roma shirts 2009/2010 Don't have any concepts to share, but I think Roma needs to ditch Kappa and go with Nike or Adidas so they can start selling jersey in volume. Next season Fiorentina will have Adidas making their jerseys, but we are stuck with Kappa which is near impossible to find outside of Italy.
Re: A.S.Roma shirts 2009/2010 Kappa is actually a lot like Roma. They wait until the last minute to do anything most of the time. In preseason for the 07/08 season they had to put together some jerseys for our warm up friendlies because they hadn't done it yet, in late July. Totti was wearing the new jersey when he ran out onto the field for the celebrations after we won the Coppa last year though. They probably don't have any concepts yet, and they don't have any distributors in America or Asia, the two biggest cash cows for every club that is run intelligently.

Re: A.S.Roma shirts 2009/2010 I'm just glad Roma actually have a sponsor...a couple years ago, we didn't have a sponsor on the jersey. I don't mind Kappa...it would be nice to have Nike or Adidas, but i wonder if they would be wiLling to sponsor a team barely in Europa Cup. Also, i think we have a contract for a few more years with Kappa. I think Mike's right about the jerseys...Roma presented their kits at the 80th anniversary last year...just prior to the start of the start of the season i believe.
Re: A.S.Roma shirts 2009/2010 Our deal with Kappa will end at the end of next season, as well as "wind". So entering the 2010-2011 season we will have hopefully a new brand (hopefully Nike) and a new sponsor.

Re: A.S.Roma shirts 2009/2010 Yeah, the past couple of seasons has seen the jerseys introduced right before the start of the season. Roma does a terrible job marketing merchandise online, and jerseys weren't available on USA-based sites until, when, Christmas?? On the bright side, I've absolutely loved the kits the past two seasons since the move to Kappa. It sets us part, although business-wise it's an awful arrangement. Think of it as a justification for a trip to Rome (in addition to a jersey, you can even pick up sheets for your bed or a bottle set for your kid!). I think what will ensure better distribution is if we start winning some silverware!!!
Re: A.S.Roma shirts 2009/2010 I talked to a store owner because I'm collecting info for my step-dad on football gear merchandising. He said that people come in all the time asking about Roma gear, and he has to explain to them that Kappa doesn't have any stores outside of Europe, so the stores have to pay $20+ more to get the stuff. That means $20+ more tacked onto the price of the shirt once it's on the shelf, and it isn't worth it. That's money lost for Roma and the stores. God knows I would have a shirt from every season if it weren't $80-90 for a shirt. More if you want someone's name on it while Lampard and Kaka jerseys are on the shelves at $60-65.
Re: A.S.Roma shirts 2009/2010 I love the Kappa jerseys, much better than Addidas and Nike from a design and fit perspective, and at least they are unique. I also had no trouble getting the jersey online, and you can get it online for $44.50 or $64 with a name, so what is the big deal? If they go with Nike, I won't be buying any Roma jerseys.

Re: A.S.Roma shirts 2009/2010 This shirt is really great! I like the design and the new lines in the main colors of our team. Hopefully the home shirt and the third shirt will get this design as well. But if this picture is leaked perhaps there will be leaked pictures of home shirt and third shirt as well.

Kappa won't even start thinking about next year's kit until next month at the earliest, and we'll be lucky if the kits are ready to go before all of Italy takes its glorious 3-week vacation in August. No need to rush because of Supercoppa this year so let's all relax, get a cappuccino and a cornetto, and look to this weekend's clash against Milan...

Re: A.S.Roma shirts 2009/2010 I miss the wolf silhouettes we had on the kits in the late 90s. I kind of like them. They could have gotten more creative, but at least you don't have to look hard for changes.
Re: A.S.Roma shirts 2009/2010 I like the new shirts! Each shirt has his special items. The only thing I would have changed is that only on the third the old logo is presented. It would be great if on each shirt the logo's are presented. The old on the shoulder and the new on front. I really like them! Also the launch of the new shirts are quick, maybe this years distribution will ben more better, because Kappa wants to prove himself the last year of sponsorship. In my opinion Kappa is great with A.S.Roma, so extend the contract!
