Couldn't find a thread on the show. How there is no thread about this show I will never know. Barney Stinson = Legen- hope you're not lactose intolerant because the 2nd part of the word is dary !
Awesome show. It combined with The Big Bang Theory and Chuck makes my Monday TV watching nearly perfect. Remember to knuckle up for safety.
Last week's episode was particularly good. "A monkey with two tuxedos on? What? Did he forget he put the first one on?... Stupid monkey." Hope there is a new one on tonight. Q
i'm confused. you're voting "Yes" on Hell??? everything i've read by you before would tend to suggest that you don't subscribe to the notion there's an afterlife.
According to you guys I've got a corner penthouse on the 6th floor reserved for me. Might as well make sure it is furnished.
How awesome were Marshall's charts and graphs last night? Presidents ranked by how dirty their name sounds: 1. Johnson 2. Bush... A pie chart of his favorite bars and a bar chart of his favorite pies! Q
Thanks for bumping the thread - question about yesterday's ending SPOILER ALERT, OBVIOUSLY. I know the "mother" walks through Ted's neighborhood. But she is supposed to be the one carrying the yellow umbrella, right? So Stella isn't the one (plus, I can't imagine her being at the St. Patrick's Day episode from last year, since she's a single mother and all). So, uh, what's the deal? Also, is this going to be a re-boot of sorts for Barney, since he basically accomplished his life's work and now possibly moving on to adulthood?
Short interview with exec. producer Carter Bays about last night's ep: http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2009/05/himym-shocker-s.html#more It doesn't reveal much either way but I think he's hinting that she's not the mom.
She can't be the mom, there would be a continuity error then. Remember when Future Ted was like, if only I let her talk to Robin, then they showed a clip of Stella and their kids in the future, both were different children and blond. The storyline had nothing to do with the yellow umbrella, it wasn't mentioned once. We as fans just saw it and jumped on it.
Well, I figured she wasn't. Just that they seemed to tease the possibility. Not sure what you mean. The yellow umbrella was explicitly mentioned as a key in meeting the mother in an earlier episode, and I *think* it was brought up in the "No Tomorrow" episode.
It was mentioned earlier, but it wasn't mentioned on Monday. Just because he was using it doesn't mean it's an important part of the episode's plot.
That's how I looked at it. He'll probably retain large aspects of his Barnitude, but I'm pretty sure that he won't be quite the Old Barney. Oh, and he and Robin are going to end up together.
Is that why they've been shooting her from the waist up (I can't remember the last time we saw her outside the bar)?
