Yea I can do that! and I'm jus showin off my blackberry storm. heh. anyways I was referring to the Texian Army. the El Batallion fans were really cool with the flares.
Re: Bizarre Refereeing at Austin Let me post Part 2 on the second half Yeah, chopped off Kamara's goal to give a free-kick for deliberate handball outside the box by their goalkeeper who escapes punishment! Still, the guy could probably do as good a job as anyone else in CONCACAF.
Re: Bizarre Refereeing at Austin I didn't know why he called it off, I was down at the other end and couldn't see that or the second Austin goal either. Both sound dumb.
Re: Bizarre Refereeing at Austin Wow. I'd be livid if that was a game that actually meant something. If he's a USL ref, then I weep for USL.
Our group had planned to use smoke also - unfortunately our Special Effects Manager decided to carry the Prawn Sandwiches and refreshments into the stadium first without realizing that there was a "no re-entry" policy in effect. The Pink Smoke would have been really great. Here's a pic of our tailgate area (sorry about the 4Runner - but the Lexus was in the shop):
Re: Bizarre Refereeing at Austin There was another funny bit at 2-2. Kamara burst down the right and hit a shot from the edge of the box that the goalkeeper CLEARLY tipped over - goal kick! Kamara couldn't believe it. A few minutes afterwards when the linesman retreated to the halfway line, you could hear Dom giving him abuse
Great pics as always from Mr Brooks. For what it's worth, here's a few I took with my little point and shoot: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=66057&id=577188900&l=bc6c7
Re: Bizarre Refereeing at Austin And we thought we had bad referees in the MLS. Don´t get me wrong, we have bad referees in the MLS, but sometimes we get the chance to compare and put things in perspective, our referees suck, but they could be worst.
Re: Bizarre Refereeing at Austin and let me add my own grain of salt to the wound. From a Austin stand point he was rubbish too. I was determined to have, not words because they would do no good on his deaf ears, but fists with that particular basdard in the blue. For instance, I beleive the second yellow that sent our man Gifton off was for no kind of on field challenge or foul, but because he was protesting a previous call. HE"S THE FING CAPTAIN YA TWAT THATS HIS JOB!!!. There was also a point where he let not one, not two, but three hard challenges outside your box on one of our boys go, then less than five minuets later, he gives a free kick for one of our boys tapping one of your FWds on the foot!!! I was giving him the finger with my tongue out at one point the bastard, and I sure do hope you conyos are wrong and he's the exception not the norm amongst USL refs.
Well that was fun tus naranjas. Lets do it again sometime . The game was deffinatly a text book case of a draw cus, and of corse this is my honest opinion here, neither side played poor enough to loose, and both sides played good enough to win. I mean every pass, short and long, was contested, every inch of space that the ball took up was hard won. Oh and "DAMN YOU POST" cus Yordany Alverez had you guys's orange ass heart in his sites when he took that shot, and I would love to hear what you guys thought of that particular peice of cuban rifelrey. I mean he was a clear 25-30 yards out and it was SOO DAMN CLOSE. Any way vamos naranjas and gooood luck, hasta en la copa abierto
Thanks man I Agree with Alejo, Houston should come down to play us again sometime, with that kind of turnout it makes the game so much more amazing, I was about 2 feet from the houston net when Yordany took that shot.. man how awesome that would of been if it had gone in the last few minutes too. Awesome game
Yep - That's what we said about the last game with NYRB's. But you know what they say - "A miss is as good as a mile"

Good action on the field. Aztex players linked up very well for a USL side and it was cool to see the chip by Mully. To make no mention of a MLS vet like Quill who is making some sort of comeback scoring as well. Then there was the throw down in the stands. Great times. DALE DYNAMO!
