15 million Euros and he is well settled now, although would like to see him play more. He played 7 liga games (some didn't start), had 3 direct assists, and will add one important indirect assist in classico.

    Arshavin is this year's Rosicky.

The best of Hleb is still to come, this may turn out in hindsight to have been a steal of a deal.

So, 4-0 against the gauntlet, 10 point lead in La Liga, won the CL group... not bad for a side that in it's first couple weeks lost it's first game to Numancia and then had everyone wondering (including us here) whether they could score goals from open play.

    ...

But since I worry by nature, anyone else a little concerned about INIESTA's return? Is he the de facto starter again next to Xavi? Or is that MF spot going to be a platoon spot with Guddy, Keita, Hleb, and Iniesta?

Despite the good form, that spot has been sort of the one consistently awkward area in the team. I think he slots in there just fine unless there's an injury or suspension elsewhere in the lineup.

I'm looking forward to the return of our other major dribbling threat. Scares me that Messi is the only one who can really take people on right now.

Ain't that the truth. Henry can't beat anybody, Xavi has been kind of off form the last month or so, and Eto'o rarely gets the chance to create his own shot (like against Atletico Madrid). Messi doesn't even dribble defenders as much as he used to.

And yet I'll take all of that, a 10-point lead, and a happy holiday, thank you very much. :)

Ive always seen iniesta as a mixture of xavi's game and messi's, not as good as them at their particular game but he can do a little bit of each and creates his particular game. I think he is defcto starter unless his form goes down when he comes. Guddy is last then sergi keita and hleb can play the spot too.

We do have a great compliment of Midfielders for a variety of tactical scenarios: Guddy and Keita for muscle; Hleb and Iniesta for finesse. The "muscle" really needs to pick up their game and figure out what role they're going to be playing in the team though. Guddy was lost against LPB, and Keita was similarly adrift for good parts of the Villareal game.

I think Yaya is a pretty good dribbler, FWIW.

Here's a link to another in-depth tactical analysis from that Ramzi guy over at the FCB Transfer Blog. Interesting read:
