el universal is saying that Castro and Villa are signed by Necaxa... sad to see them go, although I think it is probably for the best. I still think Gringo is very talented player and still runs like a gazelle, but I guess with so many changes in coaching staff, executive staff, players tend to get confused. I do expect Castro to regain his previous self and perhaps even be considered for 2010. Many players go through slumps. Pardo is a prime example. he was the youngest member of the 98 World Cup squad. Everybody thought he would be a shoe in for Japorea 02 and we all know how his career stagnated for a while. Most people would have laughed at the idea of him going to Europe, much less becoming one of the best foreign players in the Bundis.
Oh man! i almost forgot about one of the worst signing that we need to get rid of, Rafael Marquez Lugo! I almost forgot he was with us he should definitely be given the boot
Lookie what I found comes w/Goal celebration a la Landin. He's a very good player from what I've seen of him.
Abdon reyes would be another huge signing with Beajesour bcuz both of these players are not BIG players like Crespo or other that we have signed but are as talented both reyes and Beajesour aren't well known outside of their countries so these would be great signing to play with Cabanas up front and Insua in the mid. With those 2 signings we would just need to sign another mid and some defense and were good to go
Seba Dominguez is on that list....kind of wanted him to stay since he has shown glimpses of being a really good defender, although after two seasons he really hasn't been all that great. All this talk about Diaz probably going to River isn't good either...in the event he does leave, look for another season similar to the one we just had.
does anyone know who Jean Beausejour is i mean ive heard of this dude but nothing really special out there that makes him a great signing..... btw he was presented today! http://www.mediotiempo.com/noticia/70478/jean-beausejour-es-el-primer-refuerzo-aguila/
Never seen that guy play. Who recommended him? What position does he play? Sad to see Sebas go. That guy was big but I understand the directive's decision. You can't screw up that many times. Good riddance to Gringo. Hope More Mosqueda goes too.
I'd give el more mosqueda one more shot...although I'm glad to see his brother is on the list...that guy was pretty horrible. I wanted to see Seba stay because I can't stand El Woody Sanchez. Although with Seba leaving I don't know who we are going to bring in to cover his spot...we do need players like Veron and Da Silva although I can't see America getting any of these players.
I said a bit about him a couple pages back but he's an up-an-coming forward from Chile (O'Higgins). He has great technique, good pace, and is one of those players with a great work-rate.
I am a bit skeptical with the signing of Jean Beuasjor. He is a left wingback. Currently, we have -----------------------Ochoa---------------------- ???------------???----------Rodriguez------Rojas ----------Vera------------------Arguello---------- ----------------------Insua-------------------Silva --------Esqueda/Moreno-------------------------- ------------------------Cabanas------------------- Dominguez (RCB) and Castro (RB) are pretty much gone, so the right side of the defense is what worries me. Sanchez is not much of a centerback. He is a midfielder. The only viable option is Rodrigo Inigo. I just do not trust thebackline having Inigo and Rodriguez. El Pocho Insua, El Torito Silva, and now Jean Besajour? Quite frankly, there are just too many lefties and the worst part of it is that Silva and Insua are not very gifted with their right. Who will replace Castro at the right back position? Rojas natural foot is his right, so I am thinking that Rojas may get switched from the leftback position to the rightback position covering Grngo? But if that occurs, the leftback position will be empty? If Silva is used as the left back, to make room for Beaujour on the left wing, we will have to very limited left side of the field? I am sorry, but I do not expect much from America this season. I hope we get a decent centerback. We really need one.
Beausejour is a winger forward who can also play as a left midfield. If you are wondering around the level he is, he sometimes starts ahead of Mark Gonzalez from Real Betis in the Chilean national team. Dont know if you have seen Gonzalez play but Beausejour is just as fast but taller and stronger. Osasuna was also interested also a french team was after him too.
by his own admission, he claims he is a natural wingback, not a left wing forward. He said this year he has been scoring goals, because of the circumstances relating to the game (I am assuming tactical) but nonetheless, he is a leftwinger. But just for the sake of argument and conceding the notion that he is being signed as a left wing forward, that still raises many doubts. Insua [LAM], Silva[LWB], Rojas[LB] seem to tangle each other up on the left flank? I fail to see how Beausejor will resolve the tactical problems on the left side of the field.
We're after Chitiva? Shouldn't we be finding some players to support our back line (preferably a CB).
I would have prefered Chitiva over Beausejour. chitiva, in theory, would give the right side of the attack more dynamical presence which would open the field a bit more. But, we need a center back.
So is edgar castillo really coming to America??? If he is and they some how land gallindo, which i dont see happening could be a good back line Rojas---galindo---??--Castillo
http://mx.youtube.com/watch?v=6nVuOnU8WzI an interview with beausejour where he talks about america b4 signing
In the national team and O'Higgins, both teams play a 3-3-1-3 formation. He has always been the left winger forward except for the last game between Chile vs Argentina where he just played as a normal winger.
Players that will leave: Seba Dominguez (CB) German Villa (CM) Jose Antonio Castro (RB) Jesus Mosqueda (CM) Carlos Infante (CM) Alvin Mendoza (LM) Players that might still leave: Federico Insua (LM) Alfredo Moreno (ST) Juan Carlos Mosqueda (CM) Players that will arrive: Jean Beausejour (LW) Players that might arrive: Aaron Galindo (CB) Edgar Castillo (LB/LM) Gonzalo Jara (CB) Andres Chitiva (CM/LM)
thats more going out. America keeps getting this big guys and they show nothing. More was awesome, i still ike hime, but the lack of a Pardo type guy is killing them i think. Chitiva and Castillo would be nice, but would they dissapear, like el vato from atlas and Moreno who skooled in SLP. whatever happent with the el pelado riding river nutz and allegedly wanting to look at an offer that could not match 1/2 of his current America salary?
Apparently we have a new jersey. http://www.mediotiempo.com/noticia/70559/las-aguilas-estrenan-plumaje/ ...with no picture? Oh and past legends convened at Coapa for a serious pep talk. I see Zague, Brailovsky, and Reynoso. Where's Capitan Furia? The others I don't recognize.
