Sturg has been fully practicing. I had heard that he would be available for Sat and could make the 18, but someone reported hearing Garth say that he wasn't quite ready. Not sure which is true. There was even speculation that it was between him and Russell to fill in for Olave. I talked to Dema at the charity event and he is still in pain. He seems frustrated with the situation. He isn't practicing. I talked to Fabi at practice and he seems depressed over his injury but says its getting better. I could tell he really wanted to be out on that new grass, but can't practice yet. They are still hoping for him to have a chance of being back for the 18th, but if that's the case I would assume he'll need to start practicing soon.
So Sturgis might come back to play on turf again... How does the saying go? "History tends to repeat itself"?
An apple in hand is worth two in the tree? Fool me once, shame on you, fool me again, and um... i've been fooled again?
"There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again."
"You can trouble me for a warm glass of shut the hell up! Now you will go to sleep! Or I will put you to sleep! Check out the name tag grandma, you're in my world now!"
Great article about Yura and his recent hot streak. If he gets 4 goals and an assist in the next 4 games, then I predict we make the playoffs.
RSL will need him to put away his chances tonight and I hope he does along with everyone else. In the article it states that RSL is going for their franchise best 10th win in the season, but it will take 11 wins to become the franchise best this year. They won 10 games in 2006 and if my memory serves me right, RSL beat NE like 3 0r 4-1 on the road, so hopefully RSL can do it again. Of course 2 wins in a row has not happened this season, but there is always a first and now would be good time to do it.
that is quite sad that we have not won back to back games yet this year. It would be really nice to erase that and have this be the second win of a 5 game winning streak to close out the season. If Ian Joy is giving the pep talks I think it's possible
It has yet to be mentioned that as of saturday Javi became RSL's all time assist leader with his mazing lob to Andy, someone needs to make the change on wiki stats
I dont think Javi is done yet either... I could see him getting multiple assists/goals in the new stadium. he is starting to look really good (at times of course)
doubt that will happen, not this year at least. If espy is healthy for a whole season (try not to laugh at that) then he could do it i think
Andy is running away with the goal of the week voting. He's currently got 807 votes. Ibrahim is second with 479.
Javi has got some serious company there. And he's not even a DP! I think we'll look back at the Javi signing as one of our best moves.
