I'm too lazy to research it, but I don't think the decond DP counts the full $415k against the cap. It's a buy one get one on discount program IIRC.
if he actually read the book then he would be better then about half the refs in the state. And if he actually did what he read... well that is asking too much, at least according to the standard or reffing we have here
Just as long as he isn't this guy. Here's a Sport's Illustrated article that mentions it. The 2nd DP counts $325,000 against the cap. That seems to be pretty well accepted on the MLS general boards. I would be surprised if it weren't actually the rule.
The SI article says that it was 400000/350000 when the rule was first announced. The MLS site justs says 415000. I chose to quote the MLS site but it could very well be 415000/3?????.
The were some updates on the Keepin' it Real site. I believe it said that Sturgis may crack the 18 this week, but Dema and Espy are still out. I can't access the site from work, so I can't give the exact quote. Sorry.
I don't know if anyone has noticed yet, but on MLSNET.com, they are now showing a commercial for the movie Beverly Hills Chihuahua. It opens with the RSL v DC game @ DC, and shows Marcello Gallardo's goal, only Gallardo has been replaced by a Chihuahua. Nick's short, but there's no way a chihuahua would score on him.
