World Soccer's list seems to be lacking a very important derby. Porto-Benfica is listed at a respectable #17, but Benfica - Sporting is nowhere to be found. I am a Porto fan but I know that the Lisbon derby will always be the biggest game of the year for most Portuguese soccer fans. It is sad how little respect our game gets from the outside soccer community. I think two spots for Portugal wouldn't be asking too much.

Just eyeballing the list, I don't think that I see a club listed more than once (I could be wrong), so that could have something to do with the Lisbon derby not being added. Also, with Benfica the most popular club and Porto the more successful club in recent years, it's I guess no surprise that the Lisbon derby isn't there...

I always thought derby's were only between teams from the same city?

Anyways, I too think Benfica vs Sporting is still the biggest rivalry in Portugal. Benfica vs Porto is a close second though.

Not much bigger, but it is debateable that it is bigger. The amount of trophies between the two teams in a derby does not provide much significance, it is simply the passion put into it, and the Rome derby has plenty of passion, although, it is probably on foot with the Lisbon derby.

Yes, a derby is between teams from the same city.

Well this list is very debatable, so many errors here, I'll just mention one.

How can you have AC Milan-Inter in 15th??
