Why don't the remaining supporters in the Nordecke bring drums? With drums we could add to the sound out of the Nordecke and add some noise to our cheers and coordinate better. Along with LTA making noise wherever they move to, the CCS would have some serious noise spread around. We would really only need like 5 drums to make this work
If you want to bring drums bring drums. In fact, it would be cool to have other instruments as well. I talked to a guy last night who bought a small drum, strap, and sticks for 21 bucks for one of the used music stores in the area. So its not going to be overly expensive to do it if you want too. I'm sure theres enough people that would be willing to do this, just have to find them and coordinate. Let me know if you want some help. I'm not much of a drummer but could get the word out and look for interested people.
I plan on bringing a snare that I have to the game on the 17th. I asked this in another thread to no replay, but what ever became of the instruments that the Crew bought for Crew Groove a few years back? Or did the Crew Groove guys own those drums? And shouldn't this be in the Supporters Groups forum?
Me too, they opened for Hootie and the Blowfish. I tried to convince the girl I was dating at the time to leave before Hootie went on stage.
Please stop starting pointless threads...La Turbina was trying out moving somewhere else. From talking to their leadership after the match they will almost certainly be back for the 17th. Now back to talking about They Might Be Giants...
The title of the thread would be more fitting if it was "Lets get more Drums in the Nordecke" Because thats what this thread is supposed to be about. Read the 1st sentence the poster wrote and you'll understand. It's not really useless, but at the same time it will be if no one contributes positively.
Man, this whole forum is a muddled mess. I miss that like one game where we didn't have an issue afterwards in the section.
I think we need more insturments of any kind in the section... heck, some trumpets, a bugle, whatever anyone wants to bring. Noise = good.
You know what's crazy, that song is the one that most people know and TMBG didn’t even write it. It was first recorded by the Four Lads. I didn’t know that until I was going thru my grandmother’s old records and found it on a compilation record.
If you want to talk about drums/instruments, it's the more you have the harder it is to cheer/sing/chant over them, you only need a few to get everyone on the same page/rhythm.
a That's what I want to see! We had one game this year that a kid brought a trumpet and ripped it up and he hasn't come back since.
last night, one of he LTA kids had a trumpet...I don't think they really wanted to leave I think they were trying to prove a point?? I really don't think it'll work with them on our side of the stadium. Mainly because there are several season ticket holders that sit where they were at...
