When's the game being played?? Are you talking about the WCQ match??

If you are, then i'd think it will most likely be a 1-1 or 2-2 draw. Depending on how well SGE adapts to the Mexican side and if he can do something positive with them and recover from all the damage Sanchez did when he was head coach.

If the game was next week, i'd call you guys for the win. But it's still a good 2 months away, so who knows.

    3-0 Mexico like in 2001.

Props to Costa Rica for being able to beat Mexico in that stadium in those qualifiers too. I doubt any centroamerica team will be able to do that ever again. :(.

Agreed, it will be tough. But Mexico post Sanchez is a mess. So if anyone was gonna do it, it's gonna be Honduras. But then again, in saying that, i still think it'll end all square at the end of the 90 minutes.

IF Honduras continue to show there talent, and their players continue to showcase their ability to play against the worlds highest level i don't see any reason why Honduras can't win in easily in Honduras. As for El Azteca i'm not sure, i'm seeing a tie.

    Honduras 2 vs Mexico 1

    Mexico 1 vs Honduras 1

I really don't think Mexico will dominate at home, there on a horrible streak and i don't think there defenders can withstand Rey David, Wilson Palacios, Costly, Rambo....theres to much speed and agility. Sanchez for Mexico seems horrible as of late.

I'm rooting for Honduras hands down.:D

on paper this game looks to be slightly in favor of honduras...but we know whats on paper doesnt matter that much when u play in el azteca...as of right now i think ochoa should prob. start in goal but who know what SE will decide becuz of the experience of sanchez..of course id rather see sanchez cuz he was awwwful against argentina...as for honduras i def. think Valladares will start as for the rest of the team here there are:

Mexico: Osorio, Magallon, Rafa, Salcido, Torrado, Pardo, Guardado, Arce, Gio, Castillo

Honduras: Maynor, Bernardez, Chavez, Bonieck, Thomas, Rambo, Palacios, Alvarez, Costly, Suazo

DEF.. looks like on paper that mexico slow back four will have a huge problem with our athleticism...i think torrado is a huge weakness in the middle for them...it looks like thier weapons are gio(who's inexperienced in this maginitude of the match), guardado who is a beast, and castillo who has game breaking speed...boniek controlled guardado in the gold cup..and we have to be physical with castillo...i have thomas blanketing gio..thats a pretty good matchup....i also want maynor to attack more...this looks pretty good on paper:D

Mexico is a team that is all about momentum. Honduras along with the U.S. are two teams in the CONCACAF who seem to have Mexico figured out the most and are the biggest thorns in Mexico's side.

In the past year of friendlies Honduras has been ON FIRE, and Mexico for the most part has kept falling short or just looking flat. As long as Honduras can come in to the 2nd and 3rd round of WCQ's their ticket for South Africa are already in the bag.

The WCQ's are a different beast though.

Wait and see how Honduras performs in the next round (vs MEX,CAN,JAM) before you crown them as one of the CONCACAF reps in WC2010 becuase I guarantee you that group will not at all be cake for Honduras .

and to add to what I said earlier in the post, for some strange reason, Mexico always has the mental advantage in Azteca. It's frustrating really...

We beat them twice in SPS once in 1996 2-1 that was at el Morazan
then again in 2001 hat trick by Pavon, the volley, then freekick becks style, and the pk, which came because they fouled Suazo.

This is gonna be a really good game, Honduras is in good form.. playing well, as a team y con buenas individualidades.. and mexico, well they played good against peru, and horrrible against argentina but then again its argentina with messi and aguero up top.

I'm really looking forward to this match, a tie is a good result for honduras considering their playing away but im rooting for the W! vamos cipotes!!!

Reality is that the most likely result is a Mexican win. Lets not fall into the same mistake of thinking we are one of the best in the area, we are good but thinking we can easily beat Mexico at home does seem unlikely. A tie would be amazing, lets not get carried away.

You know, Football is a funny thing... it's not something you can calculate.
OK, so we tied with Venezuela, while dominating the match... right? So, does that mean we can score twice against Brazil? Not necessarily. Or we beat Belize 2-0 with our B/C squad, while Mexico had the same result with their A squad well then PR should have been a walk in the park; but they just ended up being a pain in the ass. I f the numbers add up logically thene able to at least tie with the Mexies in the Azteca... Who's with me ???
