    We definately aren't getting the credit we deserve. We finished the season one point behind the champions, having had only a few players and a transfer embargo at the beginning of the season that meant we missed three quarters of the transfer window. The achievement is incredible and Gary Mac has done wonders to our style of play. Signing Freedman was absolutely inspired.

    Today he rested a lot of players so I never expected much against a side who could still have avoided the drop. However Paul Scally, the aptly named Gills chairman has been, apart from John Ryan, chairman of Doncaster, the most vocal advocate of our points deduction, so as Ken Bates said on Yorkshire Radio on Friday, it would be poetic justice if we relegated them today. (Funnily enough Doncaster also missed out on automatic promotion today after losing to Cheltenham and Forest winning ha-ha effing ha).

    The ground was full, with the East Upper open and an attendance of 38,000+ watched that poetic justice being served as Tresor Kandols 89th minute goal sent Gillingham (a team we met in our first season in the Championship) into League Two.

    Great atmosphere, and although the club went over the top to prevent the customary pitch invasion, the lap of honour was enjoyable.

    My ratings;

    CASPAR ANKERGREN :7 No chance with the goal.
    SCOTT GARDNER: 7 Looked decent on his league debut, but I was hoping he might have made it sooner after being really impressed by him against Wigan in pre-season.
    BRADLEY JOHNSON: 7 Wonder goal. And was very good even out of position. One for the future.
    PAUL HUNTINGTON 6 Decent but error prone.
    LUBO MICHALIK: 6 Solid.
    DAVID PRUTTON: 8 Man of the match. Ran the midfield.
    JONATHAN DOUGLAS: 6 Not really at his best.
    ANDREW HUGHES: 6 Decent.
    PETE SWEENEY: 3 Sorry Peter. Utter shite.
    ANTHONY ELDING: 6 Really needs a run of games.
    TRES KANDOL: 6.5 Took his goal well, but poor generally.

    SUBS:

    FABIAN DELPH (76 for Douglas) 6 Looks one for the future. Very mature for such a young defender.
    SEB CAROLE (60 for Sweeney) 7 Changed the game. Made Sweeney look disabled.
    RUI MARQUES (90 for Elding) No time.
