I you compare them by who is the best Left wing I'd say robbie, If you say who's the best CAM i'd say Freddy, but if you want to know who's the best overall, the I'll say:

    Adu.

I like the way you said it....Lets look at the time of each player in MLS and the impact they have on their team ....Since inception into MLS Rogers have been a whip on any position he has play left or right, no hype...But ...And i said But what about Freddy...?

I think Robbie has the skill but he is NOT READY YET... I think this season will be great for his development. Im not a fan of pushing young players too fast. For example I would have liked Freddy to play for a smaller club in Europe so he could continue his confidence by getting more playing time. Although Freddy is playing great right now for YNTs and MNT...Im a firm believer that just because you can doesnt mean you should. Robbie will be a great player if he continues to develope and stays healthy and doesnt go to Europe too fast. ADU is the better player.

I'm a fan of both of these players, and they worked well together for the U20's last summer. Hopefully, we can get a repeat performance in Beijing, if Nowak gets his head out of his rear and names Rogers to the squad.

Comparison-wise, I'm afraid there is none. If you paid any attention at all during Olympic qualifying, it was obvious that this side has no attack whatsoever without Freddy. He is the key man. Rogers is a nice complimentary player who can do some nice things. Adu is transcendant.

He's not drunk. He's high on all kinds of drugs. This isn't even up for discussion. Why am I even responding to this? OBVIOSULY the answer is ROGERS. I mean look at this guys credentials:

    1. Cracked the MLS at age 14.
    2. Youngest player to debut with the full national team.
    3. Second player in the world to play in three FIFA U-20 World Cups.
    4. First player to ever score a hat trick in both the U-17 and U-20 World Cups.
    5. Captained and led the U.S. in scoring at the U-20 World Cup.
    6. Already seen playing time in his first season at a storied European club.
    7. Led the U.S. in scoring in Olympic Qualifying this year.

All this and Rogers is only 18...oh...oh, wait a minute...

dude.. give it a rest. I've watched Robbie and I am a fan. But seriosuly Robbie vs Adu is no contest. GIve Robbie some time.. and Give Adu some time as well.

Right now Adu takes the cake. And he is in a better environment.

Robbie while progressing isnt necessarily lighting up the MLS.

Numero uno....The "CRACKED" thing did not put any benefit on DC UNITED. Freddy could not play as a regular average player, and he did not improve the team... With Real Salt Lake ? Nothing either ...So what are we talking about ????Beside there have been external pressure to make this happen and it was not comming from Adu .

Numero dos...The youngest player on our national team...? Does it have any meaning ?...Can he take Donovan's Place? or even Bradley's place? ....Hold it...Reality said ..No!

Numero tres....Freddy play in Europe...I can give you a list of players that are in Europe with a contract but do not have any influence on a team performance

Uno: Correct. Adu did not carry his MLS club teams. And that's terribly embarrassing for him. Because most 14-17 year olds should carry a team of grown men......but seriously, to say he had ZERO impact? He influenced a number of games for DC and won an MLS cup with them. Not to mention that at the time he was just starting to develop his tactical understanding of the game. As for RSL: That team was and continues to be a joke. No single player could help that squad. Rogers doesn’t carry his club and he was 20 when he joined MLS (He also has zero hardware).

Dos: Rogers can’t take Donovan’s or Bradley’s place either.

Tres: Rogers never made the 1st team at Heerenveen and has not left his stamp on international play. Adu already has minutes at Benfica and I imagine they are grooming him for a starting role much like Heerenveen did with Michael Bradley and Fulham did with Dempsey in their first years there. If Adu’s playing time at Benfica doesn't increase next season or he suddenly stinks while playing in international fixtures then we can revisit this topic. For now it’s no contest.

Cuatro: I mean, if your life depended on the outcome of one game and you had to pick either Rogers or Adu to the squad would you really pick Rogers...Really?......Really?

Nope, there is the U20 tournament which is a much better yardstick than MLS. Because they played with the same teamates agasint the same teams and it was obviuos that Adu was the better player then.

Plus Rogers is 2 years older than Adu so you should really compare Adu to Rogers 2 years ago and not now.

Freddy is good in tight spaces, Rogers is good in open spaces. They compliment each other.
