Here's more info, it's down a couple of paragraphs.

    http://www.democratandchronicle.com/blogs/devo/

TOMORROW: Tuesday night is the City Council meeting when approving a lease deal for the Rhinos and PAETEC Park is on the agenda. More details on that as I can get them. There haven't been any "developments" the past two days, as far as I know (it WAS the weekend), hence no blogs.

I wonder if everyone will be back in town. I know the mayor and most important people were in Albany today to swear in our new governor.

There's going to be a press conference today at one of the downtown hotels including Randy Clark (potential owner), Tim Holt and Rochester's Mayor and Legal Counsel.

New owner to be announced today-D&C

Wow , that's a name from the past. I'm pretty sure he was a forward and for some reason I think he went to Clemson.

Correct on both counts. I think he had a sip of coffee in MLS, maybe with the Crew.

Canada has some fine looking women. Also, all my Candian friends are cool. It's not a bad country, no matter what most 'Mare-a-cans think.

What 'Mare-a-cans (I've never seen the Canuck speak phoentically spelt out like that too, thats good) think Canada is a bad country? In my entire life I've run across one guy who thinks the 9-11 hijackers waltzed across the border from the North and one woman who's Canadian ex-husband left her for a younger hotter babe. Other than that I don't run into any anti-Canadian sentiment. Except that guy on Fox News, who calls it Canuckistan.

Glad to see the Rhino's are now firmly on their feet. It was nip and tuck for awhile. I always figured it would get worked out. Just figured the USL needs Rochester and Rochester politicians needed someone in that stadium. A sybiotic relationship if I've ever seen one.

My bad on the spelling. 'Canadians' is correct, thanks.

You know pretty much anytime I've gone to Canada, it's been a very good time and all the people I know from Canada are fun and usually like beer. That can only bode well for the great white north. :)

I'm all American, but I do hold our northern neigbors in high regard. Of course you don't have a negative view of the Canucks you're from the north east. We're a tolerant more liberal breed of folk, for the most part.

It's true! Though, in this photo none are (presumably) pictured.
That photo was taken in LA at a galaxy game. Antirochesterism is rampant all over the place. As it should be.

Good ideas, but still too highschoolish and cartoonish.

There was a Russian Rochester fan who had a decent logo a few years ago (silhouetted rhino).

That's what the Rhinos fans are saying. It looks like some kid threw it together on MS paint.

Slava...not sure what happened to that guy. Last I knew he posted on the Russian section of bigsoccer. I think he moved to NoVa near DC or somewhere like that.

His user name was/is Shurik. I think I saw him listed somewhere as Slava Malamud (?). His logo looked kind of like the Ecko Ltd. logo; it was really good (I think he said his wife did it or something).

Glad to see the Rhinos find a new owner. It really wouldn't be much of a league without the Rhinos around. Its a team everyone loves to hate.

The logo is a big improvement, but like others have said it could definitely undergo further refinement. Hopefully we see big crowds at Pae Tec this season.

By the way, one Rhinos fan found the logo on a clipart website:
    http://www.fotosearch.com/UNC129/u10566778/

The EULA specifically states it can't be used in a copyrighted logo. Maybe this new Rhinos logo isn't copyrighted?

Bit harsh on Calloway. Especially this close to the 2008 season.

If Austin have any intelligence, they'll snap this guy up now in time for the 2009 season. But we'll probably see some old Stoke City hack get the post instead.
