    This is unbelievable...

The way things are going I wouldn't be surprised if SCHAAF tears his MCL or something...

Torsten Frings was surprisingly back in team traning today and could be in the squad on wednesday! :)
But Sanogo and Tim Wiese are doubtful due to light but painful injuries. Besides Peter Niemeyer is out for at least one week because of a knee-injury, Tim Borowski had to break off training today because of back-problems and Nico Pellatz got a lecerated wound. :(

Clemens Fritz got a rupture of a muscle fiber after 5 minutes
in the match vs. Real Madrid. He will be missed for about 10 days.
Tim Wiese and Tim Borowski won´t also be able to play
    the derby vs. Hamburg.

Leon Andreassen is back and ready to play after ankle problems.
Diego (booked in CL), Mosquera and Klasnic (not in CL squad)
are ready also ready for the Northern derby.

Frings injured his knee and is out for about 6 weeks.

I am sad for him, because he missed many games
in the Hinrunde and just came back from injury. :(

    injuries after injuries
now I'm concerned if he will be in top form for EC2008
although, I won't mind seeing Hitzlsperger stepping up in the NT or Jensen keeping his form here ;)

    That's a huge setback for you. :(

What have Frings & Colautti in common? Well...

Nico Pellatz (reserve keeper) broke his right metatarsus
and will be out for the next 2-4 month. This is a huge blow
for the reserve team. Coach Wolter reacted promptly
and nominated Werder U19-keeper Sebastian Mielitz
for the next match in Düssedorf.

It was expected for next week, but Frings participated
at the team training. I hope everything runs well this time
and he can support the team.

If fit, he will surely strengthen the defense qualities of the team
with his tackling skills and his vision.

This matchday he won´t play on Sunday,
    maybe next week on Sunday.

I also like to see him back, but i also want
him to take his time, nothing is worse than
    another injury.

    btw:
Why do we play next week on Sunday,
that´s BS. When we had the UEFA-cup
matches the DFL always let us play
two days later on Saturday and now,
that we are out we get the Sunday matches.

Aaron Hunt got a calf injury and will be out for 2 weeks.
Diego is still in Peking, playing on Saturday with Brazil for place 3+
at the Olympics. So a good chance for Mesut Özil to show
    his potential against Schalke.
