Quick story. The last time the Pogues came to Boston. A group of us went to the show. Right before they came on stage my buddy says that he say a newspaper story that the entire band had gone to rehab and were off the drink. I said something like "You mean everybody but Shane" (but with lots of f-bombs) and he said that all of them were sober. I almost left the show. Minutes later out comes the band and they are clear eyed and clear thinking. I was shocked. Then out comes Shane with a half empty bottle of wine and clearly bombed out of his mind. I can't describe my joy. It was a great show.

ha ha - great story - he sounds hammered in every song - he still is found in pubs hammered!

I like that Black 47 is still out playing! I saw them a few months ago - one of them opened a bar and thy played - they looked old but sound great!

Personally music went downhill after the early 90's. I hated alternative. I liked some hip hop but not to fond of it. Old Skool rap maybe. I guess I'm just a rocker at heart. I want to hear guitars, drum solos, someone singing, a power ballad or two and chix swinging their bras in the air, short skirts and high heels!

I know Woodside KNOWS what I'm talking about! lol

I think he's thinking about Glam Rock like Poison. Hell many hard rock bands were glam at some point. Look at G-n-R.
