Can you give us a translation of the play-by-play from the announcer? :)

For Croatia to be a serious candidate to not just simply do well, but to possibly win Euro 08, Eduardo needs to continue to get playing time with Arsenal.

    I wish :)

and I agree with you eduardo is key in the national team setup, although... petric and olic have been doing well this season, and klasnic has made his return so that will take some of the pressure off of him

alrite so, before the 2006 world cup the Croatian football federation was going after Daniel Bilos, they were trying very hard to convince him to play for us but couldn't. He didnt speak croatian, hardly knew anything about the country and didnt feel like a croat (he is a quarter croat), so the federation was criticized for poaching players from other countries (it was a matter of national pride). So right now the former policy of going after every decent player of croatia background has been loosened a little and they only go after the prodigies (Rakitic :)) and also players who actually feel like they are croats.

    hi
ok i found out last time by chance that anas sharbini (nk rijeka) is palestinian (like me :p) and i almost fainted because our national team sucks lol and we need players. i know he played for u-17 croatian team, but has he decided which national team to play for? also, can some someone describe his position-playing style- and if he has potential to become a good player (e.g. at the level of players on the croatian team). and what about his brother ahmad who just moved to the swiss league

sorry for posting this in the wrong thread, but i could'nt start a new one because i just signed up.

Are u sure they are palestinian? I also heard they were libian and jordanian? Anas is the captain of Rijeka and he's a very active part of the u21 team (but he has gotten into scuffles with the manager). He is a central midfileder, a bit of a playmaker he's got 4 goals in 15 games, he does have chance of playing for the first team but certainly wouldnt be a starter any time soon.

Ahmad to me is very underrated. Someone on this site did a comparison of him and eduardo on this site a little bit ago and his games to goals ratio was far better. In Croatia if you dont play for Dinamo or Hajduk, you hardly get a sniff. For him right now there are a bunch of players that will get called up before him and he wont break into the first team as well unless he really impresses in switzerland.

anas is a very talented young playkmaker who usually plays on the leftside of midfield..he will probably move to dinamo-zagreb next year once they sell luka modric..ive seen him play a few times and i like his game alot..there was some rumor saying that he might play for palestine but he squashed that saying he will only play for croatia..his older brother is a good player but not as talented as his younger brother..he is a solid finisher with a good shot but doesnt have nearly the technical ability of his younger brother..anas i think will be playing for the croatian national team one day i dont think ahmed will be..

    Englezi cigani.

You see these studs-up tackles and you wonder how this doesn't happen more often. I think just as repulsive as the photos are that no one from his team stuck up for him right after it happened.

I thought it was mistimed tackle at first, but he went studs up and he went high - he shouldn't be allowed to play as long as Eduardo is injured - I'm hoping he'll be back quickly but his bone got snapped badly...I'm sure he'll get the best doctors available and I'll be hoping for some good news...

    Pravo si rekao.
Jebem ti. I mean I have seem injuries. Fine, break a leg, and your bag in less than 2 months which still leaves him 8 weeks to get fit.
But FOR FCUKS SAKES. Don't want to wish this on anyone, but we don't have depth and a small nation. You don't see this happening to the bigger countries. FCUK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Terrible tackle, I think anyone who's played the game doesnt like to see those types of injuries- it shows you how one dirty player can affect your whole life.

Dudu's too nice to blame anyone if they shoot him in the head, that's why the rest of country doesn't forget shit for next 1000 years :D

that being said it was more desperation then anything, several factors come into play, Taylor has no Rep for bad tackles say like Essien has, Eduardo over ran then ball slightly, the difference between taylor getting the ball was probably 0.2 of a second.
