howard better than reina? u sure? what about green and carson? i think cech is the only super keeper in the league and most of the others are similair, great shot stoppers for the most part but not great with crosses

He's awesome, better than Manu Fernandes at the moment aswell. Cos he actually defends now and again. I really want us to sign him.

Howard is far better than Green and Carson. Reina, i'm not so sure. I'd say the top 4 consists of Reina, VDS, Howard and Cech.

The competency dealing with the ball at his feet (inc LONG distance distribution)u get from edwin puts him in a league above, the only knock the guy gets is when he conceeds one that's in part his fault (positioning, wrong dive parabola etc) he tends to conceed a 2nd. Howard was very good and just about big enough (persona-wise) for the biggest #1 jersey in the England, but wasn't quite vocal enough at Old Trafford.
Petr Cech CANNOT be the best keeper in the prem coz he wears that lil hat (cue predictable board troll-muppetry "Case can't talk about headgear...yawn..."), exactly what kind of insurance liability in a contact sport regarding headinjury a lycra-headdom with foam inserts satisfies....MUST be his own choice IMEO....

VDS has got the tendancy to be a little wild, as is compulsory to wearing said 'biggest #1 jersey in England' I shalln't mention Taibi or Barthez, (oh wait I have...well not in detail anyway), But I mean this season he came bolting out ala Rustu and spooned the ball right above himself then had to win the header after, and put the ball to touch. Which makes you doubt him a bit.
And since the main problem with Howard at ManUtd was his confidence, one he made a mistake, there was no support for him externally, Man Utd goalkeepers get chastised globally even by their own fans. Same with the England keepers like James. Awesome at club level but wank for England cos he doubts himself, like you do on a driving test or when you're playing who wants to be a millionaire, you know you're right but you hesitate.

    End Case style rant...ish.

In other news, who will be watching Ricky Hatton paste that overconfident American chump tonight?

I don't disagree, but James who is "awesome at club level" according to u did pretty much the exact same thing of spooning a outside box clearance in the air and having to turn into a defender and head clear today....

Hatton, well I quite liked the guy but watching this 24/7 thing has made Case hear more Oasis shy-yite than he'd ever planned to, and going slightly loopy quarantined at home this past week, I got some Gallachav BS stuck in my head for some of the worst hours of my life....

Interesting as Del La Hoya is promoting the bout, and im wondering how much is hype for Hatton, seems to me Oscar has a large personal investment (finance non-withstanding) in seeing Mayweather stopped.after himself getting dropped by him like some bad beanpie;)

Floyd does seem delusional, I mean I ain't been so close to boxing since it stopped having actual superstars, but seems like mayweather confused and thinks he's Roy Jnr, or is dude really that big over there?

I didn't watch the game today so you can hardly call me on that Monsieur!

Ahh Oasis, much like most British bands are good in small doses, but wear on you after a while. Especially the Arctic Monkeys.

I'm not sure about Floyd, I know he's good but I don't think he'll know what to do with Hatton. The bulk of Hattons wins are due to crushing body blows and I think Mayweather being the taller, won't be able to cover his body well enough.

Ultimately, the fight will be decided on how well Rickys eyes hold out, he seems to have those fleshy soft eyes that Henry Cooper did, that split easily and causes a fight to be prematurely stopped when they have a lot more left in the tank. I would have thought you'd see a fair bit of holding early on, where Mayweather will rub his head on Hattons eyes and wait to burst them.

I assume he's referring to Benitez giving up at 3-1 down against Reading and subbing Gerrard et Carragher when they were chasing the game. Gerrard looked PISSED.

Yes that is what he's referring too, but he's also asking that you don't waste valuable thread space by quoting the full post made by the user whom last posted, I mean im sure it's bad enough that my words are published once let alone twice in a row!!!

Don't worry the women comentator irritates me too. She doesn't sound right! But anyone has to be better than Jonathan Pearce who sounds like he's pissing himself everytime someone kicks the ball!!

Going back to this convo, pretty much don't hold much optimism for Man U EVER producing an actual starter from it's youth programme, and even less chance they'll bring a top notch English player thru again....
