Are you serious? Look at the statistics. It's River by far. Do I need to post a list of players that have come out of the River youth ranks and are having successful careers?? Crespo, Saviola, Aimar, and Gallardo are some of the names that come to mind.
It's River Plate indeed, although some other Argentinian clubs are also producing a lot of good players. River Plate produce the most because they have a good youth academy but also because of their selling policy. If they sell their best players once again, the youth will get their playing minutes and if they impress they will keep playing. Racing had to sell Moralez just before the summer transfer window closed to a Russian team because of some financial problems at the club. I heard he was having some trouble settling in at the club, but that was a few weeks ago.
Argenitno Juniors have the nick name of semillera..means the nursery...have produced legends to say the least...to name a few off the top of the head Mardonna Cambiasso Pocho Insua Riquelme Redondo Sorin and the rest i forget but river by far...they scout them all over argentina and colombia,ect. river was interested in messi that is why god bless our small country of few inhabitants....all the teams from the 7th to the 1st crank out some of the greatest talents where as some richer more populated nations are unable to do so........Aguante Argentina

In the last 15 years: Ariel Ortega Matías Almeyda Hernán Crespo Marcelo Gallardo Pablo Aimar Javier Saviola Martin Demichelis Javier Mascherano Andres D'alessandro Fernando Cavenaghi Gonzalo Higuaín Augusto Fernandez Juan Pablo Carrizo In Others ages: Di Stefano, Rossi, Pedernera, Peucelle, Zarate, Sivori, Moreno, Alonso, Mas, Passarella, Ramón Diaz, Cannigia, etc.
The obvious answer is River and Boca and for obvious reasons. Both have produced incredible amounts of talents but Racing always seems to get good youth players. Many of the U-20 WC champs were from Racing and if the club had better management they would be really good. Examples: GK Sergio Romero, D Gabriel Mercado, M Claudio Yacob, M/F Maxi Moralez, Alejandro Cabral and Matias Sanchez all came from Racing and all played in the WYC team Recently Lanus is the best (meaning last couple of years, not traditionally over 15 years like people are saying about River). They just won the championship with many players that were brought up through the ranks for many years and they reaped the rewards. Examples: Nelson Benítez, Salomón, Pelletieri, Velázquez y Fritzler. Abajo, Hoyos, Seba Blanco, el Laucha Acosta y Biglieri. Banfield had been good a couple of years back, but I don't think so anymore. Datolo, Bilos, Palletta, San Martin, Luciano Civelli, Cristian Luchetti, Emiliano Armetranos, and Mariano Barbosa. Also, I'm not sure which division it was (i think it's the 7a or 6a) but Banfield is close or already has won it. And I can't believe nobody has mentioned Velez Sarsfield. They are a team that is known for relying completely on there youth development (fans were pissed when Lavolpe took over and brought in 7/8 players via transfers) and have brought up many good players. Not only that, but their management is also smart enough to refuse to sell most of these players to other Argentinian clubs. Instead they sell them straight to Europe/Mexico. Examples: The Zarates, Damian Escudero, Gracian and some others.
Of the last 2 Youth World Cup teams that won the titles in 2005 and 2007, there was no River player on them, 99% sure of that. That should speak by itself of the current form of River's youth system ... .

Um.. no. Players like Cavenaghi, D'Alessandro, Saviola, Mascherano, Demichelis, Carrizo, Higuain, Lux, Falcao, etc. were produced in the last few years (all of them played for River this decade). As for River now, Carrizo just recently came out of the lower divisions, and other big talents like Augusto Fernandez, Diego Buonanotte, and Nicolas Domingo have showed us that they know how to play. Then, of course, there's the more younger players, who we haven't seen much of yet. But look at River's lower division scores and you'll see that we still are one of the best (if not the best) producers of young talent.
In Racing you shouldn't forget about "chaco" Torres and Diego Milito. If i recall correctly Luchetti came from River's youth but moved away quickly. And don't forget the other Civelli, Renato who has been playing in France for a while before going to Gimnasia. Boca had a bunch of good keepers but for some reason they never got the chance to stay, like Muñoz, Wilfredo Caballero, the unfortunately deceased Eberto, and now Pablo García who looks promising yet he's the 3rd option for Boca, and now that Migliore will more likely be gone Boca is looking for sub for Caranta why won't they give Garcia a chance at the bench even? At Vélez don't forget about, Pellerano, Somoza, Ereros(who at an early age scored a hat-trick in a Libertadores match) and Jonas Gutierrez. I think the issue with River is that their youth players aren't given that much chances to show themselves since River just keeps singing outsiders instead of give place to their youths, or they do it when it doesn't matter like now when they don't even have a coach. Where are Antonio and Morales Neumann?
Antonio is behind other fowards like Radamel Falcao Garcia, Andres Rios, Marco Ruben, Mauro Rosales, Diego Buonanotte (when he occupies a midfielder-foward role), etc. Not only that, but there are several other young talented players in that position: last week, for example, we saw Almerares play vs. Olimpo. As for Morales Neumann, last I heard he did not renew his contract and signed for San Lorenzo. That was a year ago, so I am not sure if he's still there or not.
This Almerares kid can't be that talented if he played in a side that got walloped 4-0 by a poor Olimpo side on the weekend. When you have Crespo, Saviola amongst your alumni, you have to be taken seriously.
Yeah i remember back in the U20WC in 2003 they were talking a lot about Almerares yet to me he always looked average.
No, you're wrong. Passarella began his career very late in their hometown club (Sarmiento de Junin) and then he pased to River at age of 20. But River is his house, River created a man, and a professional.
