I'd also encourage to send emails to D&H and The Big Show to let them know that we do listen and that we want them to talk about the Revs.
In all seriousness, it's pointless with the Big Show. Other that Sheppard, they don't really care. And he's not all that huge on the Revs either. He's just huge.
Ziiiiiiiiiiiing! Pretty cool though. it's gonna be just like College Gameday, we'll all gather round the truck and scream and go crazy.
We need to make sure we get Mikey into The Fort to bang the drum sometime during the match on Thursday.... It worked out pretty well last year!!
Don't forget Dennis & Callahan. After all, didn't their show feature a character named "Nigel, the Soccer Hooligan" at one time? Maybe they'll send him to the ECF to record bits for Friday morning's show.
They're too busy right now whining that the Pats are hurting everyone's feelings by running up the score. Idiots. I'd never bother calling them.
They haven't died yet? Two major anti-soccer douchebags. Why would any Revs fan ''unless he's a masochist'' want to call these two.
The Big Show is very anti soccer. They don't like it, don't understand it, and usually have sarcastic remarks about the sport and it's fans. They will never talk about soccer for one minute. I mean what could be more exciting then talking about baseball in the middle of the season when a win or loss doesn't mean a damn thing? Their number one thing is to talk about Red Sox every day during baseball (yawn) season and now they're 100% committed to sucking up to Belichick on a daily basis. Even the morning guys poke fun at how the Big Show people get on their knees to Belichick. Soccer .... forget about it.
Taylor was on WAAF this morning. The talked about Schilling, Beckham, and kicking the crap out of Chicago.
I put on Planet Mikey during the beginning of the 7:00 hour, and he was interviewing George "Boomer" Scott with Lenny Megliola of the MetroWest Daily News. The big news was that Youkie won a Gold Glove. After that, I had class, so I don't know what ocurred in the later hours. I imagine that there would be something in the Audio Vault on weei.com.
For what its worth... WEEI has been mentioning the game in decent length during all their Sportsflashes and Dale and Holley had a lot to say about it actually. All positive. call in!
Garrett, I was a little disappointed you didn't get in an Ordway dig when you were on last night. Yeah, I heard it. I was on my way home from rehearsal and I thought I'd throw on 'EEI to see if they'd mention the win. I heard Feldman and didn't turn it off. You also pulled your punches with respect to "Brian in Dorchester." C'mon, call him out for being the two-brain-celled overweight, lives-in-his-mama's-basement schmuck that he was.
so what did dale and holly have to say about the game today? looking forward to listening what mikey has to say about it tonight, was he in the fort last night?
One of the Somethingawful forums MLS goons reports: This was last night after the game. Anyone hear it? Any plans for more EEI stuff in the coming week? I've been avoiding sports talk radio like the plague for years, but might be tempted to tune in if there are good things happening.
On my way to work last night around 10.30 PM I caught a little of Steve Nicol, Matt Reis, and I think Pat Noonan discussing the post game celebrations. There was something about Matt Reis calling his hairstyle a "cul-de-sac." And then someone burped. And Steve Nicol said "Cheers." Sorry about the lousy recap but I was laughing too hard to really remember much. Mikey and the guys were laughing it up and were in an all around outstanding mood. It may have had to do with winning the Eastern Conference Championship.
There's a portion of that on the Revs site. They should have a WARNING; Choking Hazard, do not eat while viewing this video... Hilarious
Dale and Holley I'm sure will spend some time (not a lot, but some) discussing the Cup. The past couple of years, the Revs have gotten a couple of players on with them to interview during Cup week. Mikey I'm sure will take calls if people will call in. Remember, he's going down to DC on his own dime to be there.
