    Well done, Cassano!

    Fini, Larrivey and Matri

    More market.

We also paid approx. 5 mil € to get the entire ownership of Biondini (1.8 mil €), Bianco (1 mil €) and Ferri (1.5 mil €), get the co-ownership of Marchini, have back our youngster Pani who had a very good season with Pistoiese (c1) (he's very likely going on loan to some serie b side).

    That's the roster now.

    Goalkeepers
    Fortin, Marruocco, Aresti

    Central defenders
Canini, Lopez, Bizera, Bianco, Magliocchetti (1 could leave)

    rightbacks
    Ferri, Pisano

    leftbacks
Agostini, Del Grosso (Agostini could leave, then we'd need a sub)

    central midfielders
    Biondini, Budel, Conti, Parola, Shala

    right wings
    Foggia, Marchini

    left wings
    Fini, D'Agostino

    Strikers
    Matri, Larrivey, Acquafresca

    we need 1 more attacker...

a new stadium is greatly needed.

    2 old videos.

Fonseca with one of the best cagliari goals ever (season 90/91, ranieri was the coach). It was the equalizer vs sampdoria in genoa... that year samp won the scudetto.

I think Cagliari have proven to be a tough opponent. Although I'm not really sold on Larrivey yet.

He just builds a presence. At the moment, I don't think he is experianced enough or talented enough to pounce on the chances he gets. Matri on the other hand has been good so far.

That Francescoli goal was awesome! There needs to be more of his Cagliari stuff on youtube though. Due to Enzo's status as a River Plate legend, there's too much of that footage there.

foggia is good but aren't people getting too excited/over hyping him because of his 4 goals? i mean they are all penalties.

Is Foggia's deal with Cagliari a co-ownership one, or does he fully belong to Lazio still?

That's because Cagliari played Napoli and Juve at the start of the season.

Napoli has a hugh fanbase and knowing that they're back in Serie A, there was going to be some focus on that game. Same applies to Juve. We are back in Serie A and we are one of the most well known clubs in the world.

I'll believe it when i see it. :p

While it seems this time the offer is one the municipality cannot refuse I know they still could.

Old Sant'elia is awful... and Cagliari is paying for it in terms of attending crowd... a new stadium should be a must.

    Re: Cagliari 2007/2008 [R]

what can I say... he's 100% right. It's a total mess. And we are heading rapidly towards serie b.

Cagliari's real problem is cellino... I am fed up with him and so are many others... but still no real protest against him.
The local media carefully avoids criticizing him as he is vindicative, he would prevent journalists from speaking with players and coach, he has done it in the past.

the traditional radio commentator (30 years) was sacked because otherwise cellino would have not given the rights to comment the matches.
His guilt was to have commented that it wasn't the coaches that should have gone it was 1 person and the 1 person he was talking about was clearly cellino. (that was the year where cellino changed 4 coaches).

it's impossible to build up a project with such a moronic asshole.
he has no money to compete in serie a yet he likes being famous and he likes the money he manages to get from the club. there's little chance he will sell if not forced to do it.

that's so sad. a historical club having more or less the 8th fan base in italy... we deserve more.

it's kinda like a sickness, people are deserting the stadium, no fun, no excitement, no passion. apathy reigns.

ah... if someone would like to sign this petition, you're welcome.

    http://firmiamo.it/cellinovattene

it's a "cellino go away!" petition. not that it will likely cause anything to happen... just a way to vent our frustration.

Thanks for the comments, sardus_pater! I'll let aussie_ascoli know about your comments.

As for Cellino, he makes Luciano Gaucci likeable. At least what Gaucci did with Perugia was funny. Cellino is just being ludicrous!

ah... it seems like something is moving, yesterday the curva nord (sconvolts, the hardcore fans) attacked heavily cellino during all the coppa italia match vs samp.

and coming sunday vs inter there will be more of that according to what they say.

Sardus, what do you think of the youngsters Cotza and Mancosu? Do they have a bright future?

hard to say yet. Mancosu should be the more talented. Yesterday it was the first time I saw cotza... well... I was not really impressed... but emotion could have played a big role.
The young venezuelan Acosta looked more interesting.

isn't the striker Ragatzu promising as well?

and I know he wasn't a Cagliari player, but Guberti looks to be living up to his promise and is having an excellent year in Serie B.
