I figured I would start the other teams thread to talk about inter and juve when they drop points :p.

Empoli's Luca Antonini could have leveled the game, and done us a favor for all the time we spent on his development. but he sliced it just wide, so it is nearing ht and 1-0 inter. empoli can develop some attacks, and vannucchi has been impressive for them, as usual. empoli misses almiron, though, and it is obvious inter is clearly a step above them.

I'm watching the game right now too. Tosto needs to get out of the game. Vannucchi has made some great passes and a few dribbles.

As usual, Inter is getting outplayed by the other team but manages to score a lucky goal. They have no semblance of chemistry right now, and I couldn't be happier.

crap, milan youngster pozzi was on the receiving end of juve youngster giovinco's cross (who has shown off his delightful skill in just the ten minutes or so he has been on), but toldo makes a last-second kick save off the line.
    still 1-0.

marzoratti has done pretty well in the center, even though he did have one rash challenge on suazo and got booked.

edit: dang. after having put so much pressure on inter for 35 minutes in teh second half, inter hits them on teh counter and ibrahimovic gets his brace. 2-0 inter and they will get the 3 points on the away at empoli. from milan's perspective, abate, pozzi, and marzoratti have played alright, so those young ones are getting good experience.
oh and btw, did we get half of raggi? i thought we did this summer

hah.. inter the home of disgruntled players and head cases have left adriano out of their cl squad... haha i love how inter always managed to screw themselves over.. not that adriano is super-awesome and should actually be playing but how they always keep dressing room cancers around until its too late...

    http://www.goal.com/en/articolo.aspx?contenutoid=401531

ridiculously, they refused a 15 million euro offer from valencia over the summer.. so apparantly he is not good enough to even make the bench at inter, but is still worth 25 million or somethin.. man these guys are crazy...

I think this might be time for one of those cross-town moves for pennies on the dollar next summer when adriano will be worthless. I say 2M pounds for his entire rights should do it in about 9 months time.

aquilani has a ridiculous shot from distance. how good is this kid?

aquilani clanged another off the post.

livorno looks awful. guess that week 1 blow-out by juve doesn't mean a whole hell of a lot, eh?

crap, chiellini scored in extra time to give juve a 3-2 win over cagliari. juve gave up two penalties, but i am not sure how legit they were.

oh, and is it just me or does it seem the just graduated u21 class for italy has had a good start to the season? aquilani, chiellini, rosina, pazzini and montolivo last week. maybe some of them are ready to step up and become serie a stars.

I heard buffon was great, but i didn't watch that match.

looking ahead to europe, though. madrid has been a circus or the last 4-5 years it seems, but i have to admit, they look to have a good balanced team this season. they have announced themselves as one of the favorites again in my eyes. sneijder is playing excellent football. madrid hasn't played like this since around 2002.

Seems like today had no big shockers. :D
It's a must win for Milan tomorrow if we want to keep pace.

I thought the ref was O.K. until the penalty decision where he eventually gave a corner, after that he just seemed erratic. Given that showing by Juve I'd only really be concerned about them from set-pieces, although they did seem to perk up once Camorenasi came on, other than that they did seem to be quite slow building up attcks. Foggia looked brilliant though.

Seeing Cagliari's penalty kick reversed brought back all those warm and fuzzy feelings I had towards Juve ;) Today Juve officially rejoined Serie A. Glad to have the Old Lady back :)

half time, i ahve been watching the roma-reggin game, and roma looks relatively flat compared to their last two games. they have had a few good opportunities, and there was one sequence with totti and taddei that was gorgeous play that led to a dangerous chance for aquilani, but for the most part, roma has been contained. juve is tied 0-0 also, but even though i have it on the tv, but haven't watched it closely, as I was paying closer attention to roma. so i don't know how the game has went, but if roma and/or juve could drop points to teams they should beat, then that would make me feel a little better about yesterday.

edit: curci in for doni, who fell awkwardly at the end of the first half.

1-0 roma, juan after on the end of a totti free kick, the game should get a little more open as reggina was playing deep and then trying to counter.

now reggina are a man down

yes, goal called off for juve in extra time, still got 4 for more minutes for udinese to hold out. roma is now ahead 2-0, goals by juan and totti. much rather roma be top than inter or juve.

wow, del piero just hit the post. it just ain't juve's day :)

alright, juve loses 1-0, so they have just one point on us.

I watched the Juve Unine game and not only was it great to see them lose, they were thoroughly outplayed by a spectacular Udinese attack.

Di Natale and Qualiarella is just an awesome tag team up front.

I actually thought Quagliarella looked poor out there. In fact he has been pretty sub par in all three games for Udinese this year. Di Natale looked good though.

So far Roma look like the class of Serie A. And after watching both Roma and Juve play today it could get ugly next week at the Stadio Olimpico. Every time Roma have the ball you can't take your eyes off them. They look like they are in mid season form. And they have played thus far w/o two of their best players(Pizarro and Mancini). They look like they have the squad depth this year to really challenge for the scudetto.
