I've been watching alot of soccer the last 2 years, on FSC, my p2p ect... I've watched teams in about 75+ different leagues, from friendly's to big games, you name it.

The last couple weeks i've watched some Galaxy games, and they are the worst pro soccer team i have seen out of thousands i've watched over the last couple years. I don't know if it's because they are not trying, they are horribly coached or the quality of the player, but my guess would be alot of all.

I know some of you MLS fans get all juiced up if New England beats Benfica in a friendly, but let's be real here, the MLS is the worst league in the world if the LA Galaxy have any wins. And from the standings, they are not even the worst team.

  2. Thats a bit much but I will admit that this is the worst Galaxy team since expansion. Ive been supporting the Galaxy since day 1 and I cant remember when the team was "unwatchable" and boring. Some of the players they currently have are so bad that my friends and I who play pickup games are better then them and thats pathetic because they are supposed to be professionals. I will continue to support the team but with some of these scrubs on it, I will watch less games for my sanity.:mad::(

The MLS maybe the worst league, but it's our league none the less....However, I do think the Galaxy are worse than a year ago:confused:
I do think Mr Lalas has allot to do with this and the ownership as well (speaking of which, I digress by saying this, but AGE, own one team and stick with it)

Of course, "argueably" being the operative word here.

And just last month, Alexi Lalas did say that MLS is even more competitive than the EPL.

I have to say I was really sorry at their play in Toronto......almost unwatchable if I didn't care for MLS so much..also I saw them lose here in Richmond to the Kickers two days before Beckham got here.....obviously they didn't start Landypants or Cobi but they just looked terrible.....Landy was pissed to in the second half of that game...you could tell he wanted more from his team and rightfully so!! I will stand here and poke fun and Landy all day long for not scoring more international goals for the US team and for embarrassing us (DC United) at home a bunch of times but he is still a great player and that team needs to get their act together especially with all the exposure they will have coming up. I don't want people thinking that is what MLS is about when a team like Houston is tearing one up right now.I was at the game last night though and there are some bright spots starting to shine through but something is not hitting on all cylinders it seems. I'm just glad they waited until after last night to show for a game!

    gotta love the Eurosnobs !!

NO ONE hates the Galaxy more than I do, trust me. Clearly they SUCK something special this season. the worst Galaxy team ever IMO. Clearly MLS is not as bad as you would like to think. Funny most players who come here from other leagues ALL say how much better it than they thought or have been told and how much more physical is it and how the fitness level is higher than most other leagues.

Chelsea only won 1-0 against the Worst Team Ever [Worse than the San Marino Selecao], and Pachuca, Champion of the SudAmerica, actually lost to the WTE.
Shame Chelsea, Vergona Pachuca ! :D:p

Hmmm, wait a second. Thousands over the last couple of years? You have it in the plural, so let's assume it is at least 2,000 teams. Assume you only saw each team once, and it was exactly 2,000 teams [Ha! But let's allow you that as a gambit]. That makes 1,000 matches you saw in 2 years, which is roughly 1,000 matches in 730 days. So roughly 10 matches per week, at least, without ever seeing the same team more than once [Man U, once. Chelsea, once, Galaxy, once...etc...] .
This is BS on BS, guy :D

I like MLS, and think the league is pretty strong (not EPL, not Serie A, not La Liga) and comparable to some overseas leagues. Where the soft spot comes, is that bad MLS teams are ridiculously bad.

A couple of weeks ago LA came out to play the Raps and they sat Donavan, Cobi, Beckham, etc. because of the Super League final coming up. That LA team was shaockingly bad!! They lost to the Woeful Rapids 3-0. The Raps couldn't score 3 goals against a Sunday league team!! The whole game was so bad, and so many new fans had come to see Beckham (who wasn't there).... those new fans would leave wishing they had saved their money.

MLS is a good league bro! I hate when people come on these sites and disrespect it, because if you get on the field you would see the difference. MLS is probably in between England 1st div and Premiership. Speed of play is fast, not as technical as the EPL, but you have to be on point to play in it. Yes some teams are shite, but that is everywhere isn't it? L.A. had a bad spell, and you could tell the chemistry wasn't there, but lately they look like a new team. Seems to me that Frank Yallop took over the reigns from Alexi, and has righted the ship somewhat. Don't hate on the MLS it is a little watered down right now, but if the best of the MLS played the best of the EPL ( and I mean MLS'S best not some of the guys they pick for the all-star games) there wouldn't be too huge a difference. EPL team would win, but only due to their athletic attributes, and their game saavy! Savvy?

So, by your reasoning, because the Galaxy have some MLS wins the MLS must be the worst league in the world? Let's see, the Galaxy won roughly 30% of their matches? And against Mexican competition, in Superliga, the Galaxy won 50% [beat Pachuca, lost to Chivas], so, by your reasoning, that would make the Mexican league inferior to the MLS. So, by your reasoning, LA both is and isn't, at the very same time, the worst league in the world.
Now, if you are a "contintental" philosopher, you slap yourself on the back for having uncovered another of those historical contradictions to which The Dialectic can be applied. On the other hand, if you have a mind for something other than BS, you know that you've stepped on a big pile of logical crap.:D

There is more than one contender for best league in the world, muchacho. If there wasn't, there would be no need for the word "arguably". Capisce?

MLS is one of the better leagues in the world. I think these are the best:

    1 Premier League - England
    2 La Liga - Spain
    3 Serie A - Italy
    4 Bundesliga - Germany
    5 Ligue 1 - France
    6 Eredivisie - Netherlands
    7 Serie A - Brazil
    8 Primera Division - Argentina
    9 Premier League - Russia
    10 Superlig - Turkey
    11 Premier League - Scotland
    12 J-League - Japan
    13 MLS - USA
    14 Jupiler League - Belgium
    15 Premier League - Ukraine
