I guess your country's press is really... ummmm classy.. professional? I don't think that arrogance should be present.. It did take 8 years to beat Ecuador again.. and you guys did play a good game... I give you that.. I understand the happiness in beating a team after 8 years.. but this sore way is not cool dudes... But whatever... now lets look.

Todays second game.... Ecuador defeats peru not 1-0, not 2-1.......but 2-0 .

This was already explained a few pages ago.

    LIBERO is yellow press.

They are a joke of a newspaper.

We don't need your trolling here. Take it somewhere else.

    And We are!
Suarez keeps on trying to find the right pieces in our defensive line. Also our midfield is a mess right now. All we have are good strikers, but with no one giving good passes it is hard for them to create good chances.
Hopefully both teams get to CA is good shape.

I want to clarify a few points:

-That "mono" moniker that we use for Ecuadorians originally had no racial connotations. As far as I know, it began after the war in the 40s when the Ecuadorian soldiers (who I'm assuming were mostly mestizo/indio) hid in trees and shot down at the Peruvians. In Peru today it's used as an insult to ALL Ecuadorians, no matter what color.

-BUT, it'd be naive and unrealistic to pretend that it's completely non-racial. A lot of our younger/stupider/more ignorant posters very clearly use it to insult Ecuador's black players. I agree, it's very wrong and it should be never be tolerated or passed off as "just part of the game."

So yeah, Peru is incredibly racist towards blacks BUT, the "mono" thing didn't begin with racist intentions.

Claudio will improve the attack no doubt, he needs to be where Andle was...but actually get them in..hopefully his goal curse isnt as bad as Mendoza's

I saw the last 30 min of the game on ESPNDeportes and they kept on praising the Peru Defense, and putting down "come gato" Mendoza. Saw the 2 goals, the first one like always from a set piece play and the second one Villalta needs some SERIOUS psychological help. We are losing 1-0 and the opposing player is within distance and he just WALKS, giving up without putting up a fight.....pecho frio de m1erda.
Uribe actually coached both games well, and he actually tried several players (unlike Ecuador who didn't really made a lot of subs throughout both games) and thats when Peru's performance declined. But that 3-5-2 with only 1 "recuperador" like Bazalar is suicide against a stronger opponent that actually has offensive ideas. Like I said before Mendoza is just like Waldir Saenz in the early 90s (where he was always the leading scorer in the league and drastically su(ked in the NT) and should retire from the NT.
Overall I liked how Peru played, Farfan is actually playing pretty good (with a lot of courage-something that I've always critized him of) winning balls in the midfield (like Condor said). Guerrero is what every Peruvian player should be like (reminds me of a "Patron" Velasquez) when they wear the bicolor.
We definately need Solano back, and now that he has helped Pizarro with his Chelsea contract, I guess he (Pizarro) will push for his new "buddy" to be on the NT. Hopefully the chemistry that this team has developed will not be broken with the new additions.

This shows that Farfan as an offensive mid/winger nos cuesta caro.
