we came in second behind Colombia in our supposedly easy group. Argentina in quarters, gol de Carlitos Tevez de tiro libre en Chiclayo and eliminated.

    So is Argentina.

I think they are the favorites to take the Cup this year since Brasil is taking a B-C team.

let's hope for a good showing.

Most important thing is to gain chemistry within the team (and Bembasten, sure) and be ready for the WCQ.

I remember the game against them at Giants stadium, if it wasnt for the retarded backline, Argentina didnt look that much more superior. A little yes, but no para tanto. I think we will give them a huge challenge if we face them. And the coach will be talking and praising us before meeting us, as all the other coaches do :(

    FEAR NADIES!!!!!

Ok, my point is we are coming stronger :)

No te dejes guiar por sus jugadores.

Venezuela como local es un rival duro. Juegan bien en equipo, algo que tal vez nosotros deberiamos imitar.

How exactly did we get worse?

Let's do a player by player comparison.

Ibañez < Forsyth (El Gringo esta en mejor momento)

Chicho Salas < Galliquio (no contest here, el Chicho simply sucks)

    Rebosio < Rodriguez

Acasiete 2004 < Acasiete 2007 (a more experienced player now)

    Vilchez < Hidalgo, Vargas

    Solano < Farfan

    Soto < Ismodes

Jayo > Bazalar (I'll give you this one, Jayo in 2004 was a little better)

Chorri > Mendoza (hell, even I can do better than ese chueco)

    Mendoza <<<<< Guerrero

The players that are mentioned first are the ones that started against Argentina.

    You forgot
    Autouri >>> Uribe
Also Ibanez > Forsyth, at the time

This past year for Peru has been terrible. Still this win against the monos might be the turning point

Ibanez jugo muy bien para peru, ahora seguro forsyth juega mejor, pero en ese entoces ibanez era un arquero muy superior en el peru
