i hope to see a somewhat different lineup for this game. here's how i think Hugo should start:

    -------------Corona-----------------

    Osorio---------Maza---------Marquez---------Rojas

    ------------------ Torrado ---------------------

    Arce ------------------------------ Guardado

    -------------Bofo-----------------

    Medina --------------------- Bravo

i don't expect much oposition from Ecuador, not an easy game but not so closed like Paraguya's match, it should be a more open game that players like Kikin and Bravo should take advantage of. They need to start doing something up there.

I agree that the Ecuador Match will be much more open than the Paraguay match was. I hope he comes out with basically the same lineup that started against Paraguay. Im still not convinced that Borgetti should start...yes he did score but he scored his first goal basically the only way he can score a goal(a wide open header in front of the net). And the second goal....well cmon...right place at the right time...he was just lucky it was him. I hope Hugo Sticks with the Guardado/Medina Combo for a very long time, I love this combo...it gives us alot of speed and skill down the wings.

PS: I was just wondering...and im surprised no one else brought this up.

Does anyone Else but me Love the Idea of Ramon Morales at Left Back? I know he isnt the most defensive player but anyone who knows anything about Futbol knows that in a 4-4-2 formation the Right and Left back are a very offensive set of players, and with that said i think he's a perfect fit. Plus i love the idea of him and Guardado being on the field at the same time.

Maybe its just me, but I don't like Morales on the back. He has trouble defending. I'm not very confident seeing him defend. :( I would rather put Salcido there. He has play well in the past two games, but the teams were Venezuela and Paraguay. The two teams didn't really attack that well.

Who thinks JJ Corona may get the start for this game?

I read that Hugo says Borg cant take the full 90 so he likes him as a sub. I see the same thing happen with borg going in late in the game.

I think Morales playing back and Guardado playing up, is not a bad idea. I understand about the defense on that side but its a 4 man backline, with a dual edged left side offense in ramoncito and guardado. Ramoncito has good vision and makes good passes to relieve pressure, also provides a good back pass for guardado on offense for a good left foot cross.

I agree that a two pronged attack on the left will be very successful, so long as the DM (in this case, Pineda) is there to cover. I also expect a change in the lineup.

    GK - Ochoa
DF - Osorio, Maza, Rafa, Rojas
DM - Pardo (if he is back, if not, Torrado)
    MF - Medina, Guardado
    FW - Bofo
    ST - Bravo, Kikin

I think Ochoa should get as much playing time as possible with Rafa, so I would continue to start him. Magallon has proven he can be counted on. Let's see what Maza can do.

I am buying the fact that Ecuador will play more open, so the need for 2 DM's is not needed, but if it is, then Kikin sits and Pineda gets the nod. I also would not be surprised to see Gringo Castro in place of Osorio.

I'd like to see a one DM lineup, but get the impression Hugo is going to stick with two DMs, especially if he has Osorio/Medina and Morales/Guardado going up the flanks at the same time.

I really really like this line up. The only thing I'm not sure about here is the defense (not familiar with Rojas, and not sure Maza can cut it), but the mid and up looks deadly.

I know he plays the position in the Bundesliga but I still don't totally buy Osorio as a lateral.

He's solid defensively, but compared to the way Guardado linked up with Morales on the left I thought Medina looked fairly lonely.

And if we don't get anything going on the flanks Bravo has to drop back to the midfield to receive the ball with his back to the goal, and it's hard to attack that way.

Magallón doesn't play that position, he's a zaguero, so he'd have to be one of the two in the middle of the back four, taking the place of either Maza or Márquez.

On the left the laterales who could play that spot are Rojas, Morales, and possibly Pineda if Hugo decided to move him there since he used to play that position at Pumas.

I would actually switch medina and Arce cause i like Medina in the flanks cause with his and speed It'll be a mirror image on both sides of the field giving the defense a headache like in the last game. Thats one thing Paraguay said they had a problem with defending, and Ecuador's defense isnt as good.

Is lame... especially the front... it's better to bring Jared later on in 2nd half... but not Palencia who I think should not be in the list.

oh God, hopefully this is not the lineup for tomorrow

the defence is excellent; no complaints there

the midfield and forwards suck ass, with the exception of Guardado and Arce

Palencia should not even be on the NT anymore

Borgetti should only be used as a sub

i'd like to see Bofo, Bravo, and Medina as our starting offense tomorrow

Pardo is not back, so Torrado will have to play.

Hugo must be smoking it really hard right now. This is suicide! Honestly, I am getting sick of this crap that Hugo picks.

I don't know about that line-up but it makes sense from what I've been hearing on ze radio. Palencia will most likely start.
