Why doesn't the MLS design their club jerseys by putting a sponsor across the front of the jersey like most clubs do? I photoshopped some ideas together at: http://www.geocities.com/jfq505/ If you any design ideas, put your photoshop skills to work and email them to me.
Red Bull NY already does it. Also, next year most (if not all) teams will do the same. I like what you came up with photoshop, especially the KC jersey with Dell as the sponsor.
Reference the hundreds of other threads on this topic. As for your concepts, I like them, but be warned, Labatt and Coors would likely not be accepted because they conflict with Budweiser, the official League beer sponsor.
Your designs are utterly fantastic! We've got a few on the Revs message board. Are fantasy is to have Samuel Adams sponsor the club because of the all the connections with the local history, etc. etc. And its a great beer. I am going to link your page to our running thread on jersey sponsors. And post it here, too. Brilliant. https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=473795 https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=408639
Nice designs. I hate ADIDAS. No creativity in any of their jerseys. They have one generic model and use it for practically every team to have a contract with.
Really? Because last time I checked, Honda was a major sponsor of MLS, and yet your own Fire play in Toyota Park. For the most part, it's about how much money a company wants to spend.
Bridgeview stadium is owned by the city of Bridgeview Illinois. The Fire are the primary tenants. The sponsorship deal with Toyota is between the city and Toyota, neither the Fire nor MLS receive any money from the sponsorship.
Sometimes I wish they wouldnt put sponsors on the jerseys in MLS. Its hard to support RSL after they put xango on their kit!!!! Now what? Are we gonna change the team motto to we suck, but hey we cure cancer?
That shit's ugly. But then again, I hate sponsorships on jerseys. It makes clubs looking like walking billboards, not clubs. I've never liked sponsorships on jerseys. Yeah yeah it's the "normal" thing and "all the clubs in the world are doing it" and blah blah blah. I still don't like it. In a couple decades, every club in the world is going to be like the MetroBulls. It's bullshit. In some leagues, like in the Scandanavian leagues, some clubs have so many sponsorships that their kit looks more like a NASCAR uniform than a football uniform.
i think that's the first time i've seen 'metrobulls' other than my own posts and yes, it is bullshit, especially when barca did it, although their's is more of a charity thing, than sponsorship, however, i feel really awkward when i see the 3 stripes of dcunited being conflicted with a logo, i just hope adidas drops down the dough necessary to keep the 3 stripes from being destroyed
That's the first time someone said they use that name too. I also call Houston the Dynamoquakes and I call the Mexican National Team the Mexicants.
If DCU had to have a sponsor, the XM logo plastered there would look pretty damn good, plus, they're local, so that's a plus. And hey, it has three broadcast beams coming off of either side. I'm just glad we have that fu¢k-ugly Sierra Mist crap off of our kit.
Not a big fan of the sponsors on the back - reminds me of European hockey jerseys. FWIW - I like the TFC jersey with BMO on it - though not having had it any other way I can understand the reluctance to add it on other MLS jerseys.
According to TFC the authentic home jerseys are sold out for the season . I was able to buy the away jersey with the BMO logo at the stadium in May but I haven't seen many since. I think it's just replicas (the ones with Toronto on the front) for the remainder of this year.
Those logos are way to cool for MLS. You'd better design one with the Tampax logo or something. If the Wizards get a sponsor, look for it to be Cerner or Sprint.
put the symbol of the Morman Church on the Real Salt Lake jersey Enron on the Houston one Goodyear on the Columbus jersey
