Why the hell did they make our home opener a Wednesday night??? Stupid.

and it looks like if we want to go to Colorado for a roadie, it's gonna be an early one this season, May 19th.

and one last note, when's the last time we ended the season at home? This is at least the third straight year we've ended the season with a road game.

I really dont like this schedule. We have a Wednesday home opener, 3 sunday games, 3 wednesday games and it is basically setup to prevent me from taking any road trips. Dammit! I really wanted to go to Chicago this year but August 25th is my daugthers birthday so that shoots that idea down.

oh and our game on the 4th of July, a WEDNESDAY is slated to start at noon??? Seriously this is F'd up. Granted it's a holiday, but middle of summer, middle of the day?

Edit: So the Royals have a home, game. Then why the hell are we not on the road then? It's stupid.

Maybe now that we are at Arrowhead some of the dates and times will be changed.

So much for fireworks...the first 4th game we have at home in a couple of years and we don't even get to see FIREWORKS after the game. What's the point? I would rather they just play on the road that day. I blame this whole crappy schedule on the FO for not getting our location settled until the week before they released the schedule. THIS SUCKS ROYALLY (pun intended, since it is very obvious the Royals also screwed with our dates and times).

Didn't ESPN sign up for Thursday Night games? I could be wrong. If so, I'm cool with this. It not, it's retarded.

I guess we will continue to be the butt of all attendance jokes, since most of the games are scheduled at odd dates and times. I think with this schedule, we could have easily fit all 5-6K that show up in a HS stadium. Maybe we would have gotten better dates if we had done that. The whole Arrowhead deal screwed us. Let's face it.....we are screwed until 2009 no matter how we look at it.

Yes, ESPN signed a contract for Thursday night games, thus the ASG being on a Thursday and shown on ESPN.

    Interesting schedule

    We get DC home twice
We get Village People home twice
and We get New boys FC home twice
Going to chicago, NE and NY twice.

    That seems pretty balanced actually.

3 Wed home games. One is the 4th of July at Noon
On ESPN twice. And the LA game is at home, could be a nice big crowd, even if school year.
    5 Sunday home games.

So my excitement for the season to start is a little hurt today. Just to rub a little salt in the wound...

Our opening week bye means that LA Gals and Dallas get to play twice before our season even starts.

Chivas, Rapids, Dallas, and Houston all have only one Wed. game.

I'm pretty sure it'll be hot as hell or a monsoon at noon on the 4th of July.

One thing I do kinda like about the schedule is the back to back home and away games against most of our conference. Chicago, NY, NE, and Toronto.

5 HDNet and 3 ESPN2 games, though. That's nice., since I can't buy the PPV package

Two games that really suck because of work - v. Crew, 5 May; v. LAG, 27 Sept.

I'll miss the Crew game because our softball team is at home to Southern Utah and I'll miss the tailgate at the Gals game because our soccer team is home to Evansville that day.

Not a big fan of the rest of the schedule, either.

actually we only have 2 ESPN2 games the all star game is the other ESPN2 game.

And I'm still really frustrated with this schedule.

along with everyone else, i'm underwhelmed... again.

i just can't get over the fact that or home opener is on a wednesday. that, and the beckham game on a thursday rules out a lot of friends from st. louis coming to games, because those would've been the ones they'd have come to.
