They do "play" for Porto, but they are not "Porto" players...

    Get it...:D

Come on the Tripeiros have a 7 point lead we need something to believe in:rolleyes:

Well, I imagine that Porto isn't that big since Tonel was originally signed by them.

So you are saying they play for Porto but are not Porto players??? Care to explain? Oh wait I think I understand where you are getting at. Are you saying that because they aren't product of Porto's Youth System, that they aren't Porto players????

call me a newbie if you want...but i am not a newbie to soccer or soccer forum... i posted quite alot on soccer24-7.com before i came here... and have had this account for a while but just started posting now... and opinions are opinions and u are correct...everyone is entitled to their own.. but it appears that ur opinion may be biased..i dnt think tonel is the best on his own team let alone one of the best two in the league... the top 3 CB, imo, are Pepe, Luisao and Polga... like Vic said Tonel is a good player and consistant but doesnt deserves to be listed a head of luisao or pepe.... and watever team u r playing for now is the team u play for... quaresma is not a sporting player... he is a porto player... that is the way things wrk/... just cuz u cant hang on to ur players past 20 yrs of age doesnt mean that they are still ur players....

Of course my opinion is biased as is yours.

Well, apparently the Superliga players disagree with you as do the sports writers. No Tripeiro will admit that Tonel is better then Pepe. But one thing is certain, Tonel has already been called up to the PNT, Pepe has not.:D

So, if I am reading this correctly, you and Vivr6 agree that Pepe is the best CD in the league. And you agree with Vivr6 that Tonel is OK but no ahead of Luisao.

    Ok, now that's unbiased...

Of course...it was a joke that apparently went way over your head.

As for players leaving before 20, last I checked Figo was over 20 as was many of the players SCP has sold over the last few years.

No need to get defensive just because the Tripeiro's best player is an SCP product...after all he is wearing Blue and White. It is very entertaining though...

Dude, Quaresma doesn't give a damn about how he was a Sporting product, neither does Figo, Simao or Ronaldo. They will never ever return to Sporting.

Quaresma is a Porto player. Stop bragging about the sporting academy. Sure you guys turn out some good players but unload them for peanuts

You don't know that . If you do, you better go buy the winning lottery number every week.:)
What's wrong with that ? It's a club and national asset and every Sportinguista is proud of it.

No one said they did. Can't we have a bit of fun at Porto's expense.

If these statements didn't bother Tripeiros why do all of you get so defensive.

The fact remains, that both the Tripeiros' and the Lampioes' best players were SCP products. While that doesn't benefit SCP in anyway it does make for great commentary.:D

    It is what it is...

I can still recall all the Tripeiros who claimed that both Ronaldo and Quaresma were "Nothing Special" even the Lampioes didn't understand why Barcelona paid so much for Simao to SCP...

    I guess they do now....hypocrites:D

Why are we talking about players and where they started their careers? You all love to sway from the topic...

I'm just wondering if this choice of Helton to be included in 11 Magnificos led Dunga to pick the keeper for the London game  :)

well he has gotten a few caps since Dunga took over... i think Dunga is still trying to decide between Helton and Heurelio Gomes from PSV

Helton had another chance, he played vs England last week. Didn't do too much wrong. There's possibilities for continual call-ups
