TNF, crap, late again

I hate it when my previews need a spoiler image.

So, we're about twenty minutes in, no score.

The Crew have been schizoid this year. Five game winning streak, then they go a month without winning, then they go another month without losing, then Salt Lake whips them. The optimist would say they have the second best record in the league, the pessimist would say that's only because Chicago hit a wall around the same time the Crew did. I think they miss Adam Moffat more than they're letting on, but I have many crackpot theories of who I think crucial players are on various teams.

Still, Hejduk, Rogers and Schelotto are deserving All-Star picks (SEE WHAT I DID THERE?) (I mean, he's only leading the league in assists, but who cares about assists, they're for stupids and stat-heads). Who knew Sigi could build an exciting team, or at least one that Schelotto could make exciting?

What used to be the Lamar Hunt showdown is now just one of many Argentine rivalries sent northward. It's a little early to call Lopez a lousy DP (SEE WHAT I DID THERE?), but he'll need to come on strong in the second half if the Wizards are going to challenge for a playoff spot. Or, they can petition to join the West. Kansas City has very, very quietly not lost in the past month or so, although their last loss was a pasting against Columbus. I'm expecting Kansas City to come out tough....although it's scoreless after twenty.

I just rechecked. It's not scoreless anymore. I won't spoil anything more than that for you, but man, for a game between two teams historically considered boring, this one looks like it's going to be a riot. I'm glad I checked before I predicted a low-scoring, ugly win for the home team.
